
AtkinsRéalis is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services, with offices across Ireland. We are looking for a Project Manager to join the team. The successful applicant will be based full time in one of our client offices in Mayo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion in consultation with the client team, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Act on behalf of the client as the primary contact between the client and the various engineering delivery teams and consultants.
- Co-Ordination of Multi-Disciplinary Design Teams.
- Work closely with the client team and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and organisational policies.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and progress reports.
- Assist in the development of Funding Applications to the government bodies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in project management experience, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, Climate & Environmental Sustainability, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera and MS Office Suite).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, consulting engineers and architects, client’s team members, and stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Have a strong knowledge of construction health and safety including the roles and responsibilities of appointed duty holders i.e. Client, PSCS & PSDP.
- Be able to comprehend design risk assessment and implement safe systems of work.
- Experience and knowledge of sustainability and carbon reduction management is beneficial but not necessary.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications (beneficial but not essential):
- Experience in airfield projects
- Chartered Engineer / Chartered Project Professional
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project
- Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Property Manager at the Client Office and to the Technical Director of Atkins Realis on a monthly basis or as requested intermittingly
