Four firms gain Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer status – Engineers Journal
The standard is a strategic framework which enables engineers and engineering-led employers raise competency levels and deliver tangible
business benefits by investing in their engineers through CPD.
At the parchment presentation held recently in Engineers Ireland’s Dublin office, director general Caroline Spillane congratulated the organisations on achieving the accredited standard: “Investment in professional development is essential for engineering organisations to gain a competitive edge and achieve results on both a local and international level.
“It is clear that the senior management teams have a strong commitment to developing their people and will continue to expand their operations and benefit from the strategic approach facilitated by the CPD Accredited Employer Standard.”
Tom O’Malley, managing director, AtkinsRéalis, said: “AtkinsRéalis’ most valuable assets are its people. The AtkinsRéalis team realise the value of continuing professional development and this accreditation is an endorsement of our commitment to CPD. We understand that investment in people is required to drive innovation and improve business processes and we are delighted to achieve the Engineers Ireland Accredited Employer Standard.”
Fidelma Lucey, associate director, AtkinsRéalis said: “We are really pleased to achieve this CPD Accreditation from Engineers Ireland. It is great news for our company and we will use this as a starting point to become a better organisation with an even greater focus on learning and development.”
