AtkinsRéalis’s AtkinsRéalis business is delighted to announce that Justin Norman has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Irish business with effect from 1 June 2018. Justin has been part of AtkinsRéalis’s AtkinsRéalis business for over 15 years and has progressed through the company from design engineer to chartered engineer to project manager and project director. He took charge of the Engineering division in Ireland in 2007 and in 2009 took over the management of the Engineering Water and Environment division. Justin completed an MBA course in 2017 whilst working full time and in January 2018, Justin was tasked with leading the new Infrastructure team within the Ireland market. Justin’s determination, commitment and drive have led to success in all of his previous roles in the company and he has been involved with some of AtkinsRéalis most prestigious projects and clients over the years.
Tom O’Malley, the current managing director of the business in Ireland, retired at the end of May 2018. Tom has been with AtkinsRéalis for many years and has made a huge contribution to the success of the company in Ireland.

Over the last three months, Tom has been working closely with Justin to ensure that the transition is smooth and that the growing multidisciplinary business in Ireland can continue to focus on delivering excellent outcomes to our clients without interruption. AtkinsRéalis extensive public and private sector clients include; TII, Ervia, OPW, Eirgrid, Ryanair, Dublin Port Company to name but a few.
Tom O’Malley, who retired from the position of Managing Director, said ‘I would like to congratulate Justin as he prepares to lead the Ireland business, and wish him well in his new role. During the past 15 years, Justin has also demonstrated strong leadership qualities and I’m really pleased we’ve been able to support his development into this exciting new chapter in his career. I am very happy to be retiring and handing over the business to a safe pair of hands. The AtkinsRéalis business is in a very strong position and under Justin’s leadership the business future looks very bright.’
