AtkinsRéalis Ireland are providing multidiscipline engineering consultancy services for Dublin Port Company to help them realise the delivery of their ambitious and exciting development plan for the port through to 2040. The completion of a new primary border inspection post sees the successful delivery of our first project for Dublin Port as part of the Masterplan.
The project entailed the transformation of a disused site, previously used as a bottling facility for Calor Gas, into a multi agency border control facility for use by Customs, Department of Agriculture and Department of Immigration.
AtkinsRéalis provided full multidiscipline services for this project including structural and civil engineering; mechanical and electrical engineering; architecture; fire engineering; health & safety; environmental; and project management.
Dublin Port today handles 48% of all port volume in the country. Even though Dublin Inland Port is not a direct response to Brexit, it has become even more urgent and necessary following the departure of the UK from the EU on January 31, 2020.
AtkinsRéalis, along with its partner on this framework – Byrne Looby, is providing full multidiscipline engineering consultancy services for DPC, to help them realise delivery of their ambitious and exciting port development plan through to 2040. Also, as part of the DPC Masterplan, AtkinsRéalis is currently working on the Dublin Inland Port Project.
Justin Norman, Managing Director AtkinsRéalis stated ‘We look forward to continuing to work with Dublin Port Company to help successfully deliver various projects under the Dublin Port Company’s Masterplan 2012 – 2040.’
